IF Frequency Response Test

(N9912A Option 230/231)

This test measures the response flatness across a 5 MHz span in each band using special manipulation of the LO. For one frequency in each band, the external source generator is held at a single CW frequency while the LO steps through 101 points to cover the 5 MHz span. The LO stepping is accomplished via special service firmware. Amplitude is measured at each LO step. Each amplitude is referenced to the center point to determine flatness across the span.

Test type:

functional

Related specification:

There is no specification or typical that directly drives this test. This test confirms that IF flatness is acceptable. It confirms that the IF Frequency Response adjustment was performed successfully.
