Max Result Length (802.16 OFDM)

Default: See 802.16 OFDM Standard Setups/Presets Table.

Range: 1745 symbol-times maximum

When Automtic is selected, Max Result Length specifies the maximum number of symbols that can be included in the measurement result length. Automatic mode determines the Result Length by comparing the Max Result Length and the burst symbol-times and using the smaller value as the measurement result length.

When From FCH is selected, the frame control header is used to specify the maximum number of symbols that can be included in the measurement result length.

When Manual is selected, the user manually sets the Result Length. Manual controls the number of OFDM Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing: OFDM employs multiple overlapping radio frequency carriers, each operating at a carefully chosen frequency that is Orthogonal to the others, to produce a transmission scheme that supports higher bit rates due to parallel channel operation. OFDM is an alternative tranmission scheme to DSSS and FHSS. symbols to acquire and potentially analyze. The Measurement Offset and Measurement Interval parameters specify a subset of this to actually analyze.

See Automatic (Result Length) for more information about this parameter and its application.
