Uniform Zone Analysis Measurements (802.16 OFDMA)

Uniform Zone Analysis mode performs data analysis for signals that contain uniform Uplink or Downlink zone definition. A uniform zone definition contains only a single data burst (or data region) allocation. The VSA does not consider subchannelization when analyzing a signal in uniform zone analysis mode. To set the VSA to Uniform Zone Analysis mode, clear the Enable Burst Analysis parameter.

When the Data Tone Modulation parameter, Disable Data Tone Modulation Autodetect on the Advanced tab is selected, the VSA assumes the test signal contains one fully used data region with a single modulation format and the modulation format is assumed to match the specified data tone modulation format. When Disable Data Tone Modulation Autodetect is set to cleared, the VSA assumes the test signal contains one fully used data region per slot, and will automatically choose the modulation format for each slot interval.

The Data Burst Info trace results are not available when Uniform Zone Analysis mode is used.

Uniform Zone Analysis mode can measure an OFDMA signal that cannot be measured in Data Burst Analysis mode due to subchannel mapping algorithm implementations that do not match the 89601 implementation

Uniform Zone Analysis mode is useful for stimulus/response signal analysis for system and RF Radio Frequency: A generic term for radio-based technologies, operating between the Low Frequency range (30k Hz) and the Extra High Frequency range (300 GHz). component testing.
