Use gated active channel detection (cdma2000/1xEV-DV)

Default: Cleared (See cdma2000/1xEV-DV Standard Setups/Presets Table.)

Use gated active channel detection is used to modify the measurement data used by the VSA algorithm to detect the active code channels.

Cleared:

Detects the active status of code channels using data from the entire Result Length.

Selected:

Detects the active status of code channels using only data within the Measurement Interval.

This parameter is only available when Forward direction are selected.

Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) measurements

The Use gated active channel detection parameter is used to successfully detect the active status of code domain channels for Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC Adaptive Modulation and Coding) signals. When selected, the VSA only detects the active status of code domain channels within the Measurement Interval instead of the entire Result Length. To learn more about making AMC measurements see Making Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) measurements in the Setting up a 1xEV-DV measurement topic.

Use gated active channel detection is required to properly detect the active status of code channels for AMC signals.
