Selecting the cdma2000/1xEV-DV Demodulator

(option B7T only)

Sets the VSA's demodulator to despread and demodulate cdma2000 modulated signals. Both forward link and reverse link configurations using spread rate one (SR1) can be demodulated.

Configure the demodulator

After selecting the demodulator you need to set the configuration parameters. You can allow the VSA to automatically configure the demodulator by selecting one of the available Standard Setups/Presets or you can manually configure the demodulator from the cdma2000/1xEV-DV Demod Properties dialog box.

It's also recommended that you review the Setting up a cdma2000 Measurement before setting these parameters.

1xEV-DV Demodulation and analysis

To demodulate and analyze 1xEV DV signals, select Enable 1xEV-DV Analysis (MeasSetup > cdma2000/1xEV-DV Demodulation Properties > Format tab > Enable1xEV-DV analysis) and review Setting up a 1xEV DV measurement.

Example recordings

The 89600 VSA includes several example cdma2000 and 1xEV-DV signals that can be used to help you learn how to use the cdma2000/1xEV-DV demodulator. The included signals are listed in the Demo and Recorded Signals topic in the Getting Started book.
