Selecting the DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream Demodulator

Menu Path: MeasSetup > Measurement Type > Other standard formats > DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream

(option BHM only)

Select the DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream measurement type to set the VSA to demodulate and analyze DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream formatted signals.

Configure the Demodulator

After selecting the demodulator, you must configure the demodulator to measure your DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream signal. Open the DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream Demod Properties dialog (Menu Path: MeasSetup > DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream Demod Properties ....) to configure the DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream signal parameters.

Example recordings

The 89600 VSA includes an example DOCSIS 3.1 Downstream signal (docsis3.1-1024qam-ber) in the ...\Signals\DOCSIS3.1 folder that can be used to help you learn how to use the DOCSIS Downstream demodulator. The included signals are listed in the Demo and Recorded Signals topic in the Getting Started book.
