Channel Power (Flex Frame)

Channel Power is the average power of the frame.

Channel Power is calculated as follows:

  1. The measured signal is filtered using the Measurement Filter at 4x symbol rate.
  2. The signal is then compensated to account for symbol time alignment, frequency offset, and phase offset.
  3. The signal is aligned to the frame boundary
  4. The total channel power is calculated in the time domain over all symbols in the measurement interval.
  5. Then, the channel power is found by averaging the total channel power over all symbols in the measurement interval.

For consistent channel power results across all traces (Summary, Spectrum, Time, etc.), set MeasSetup > ResBW > Window Type to Uniform (Rectangular).
