Hardware Dialog

The
dialog box contains the tools necessary to integrate and manage analyzer and source hardware connected to and controlled by the VSA software. The Hardware properties are use to create, edit, delete, and manage hardware configurations. There are two types of hardware configurations; Analyzer Configurations (input measurement front-end hardware and data acquisition software) and Source Configurations (VSA controlled signal Sources).Hardware Properties dialog tabs and properties:
- Configurations tab
- Selects the measurement Analyzer Configuration ( )
- Selects the input channels used on the current analyzer configuration ( )
- Creates a new Analyzer, Source or Switch Configuration
- Lists the available Analyzer, Source and Switch Configurations.
- Provides the detailed properties of configurations, logical instruments, specific instruments and subordinate instruments.
- Discovered Instruments tab
- Lists the discovered connected hardware (both real and simulated) available for configuration.
- Lists subordinate instruments (instruments that are discovered but unavailable because they are in use by other instruments).
- Rediscover connected hardware. Refresh the list of VSA connectivity after startup.
