Trace/Block Diagram Toolbar

The trace/block diagram toolbar contains controls for configuring the traces used in a measurement and toggling the visibility of the Block Diagram.

Active Trace

Displays the letter designation of the active (currently selected) trace.

Trace Layout

Click to open a drop-down menu of predefined trace layouts, or create a custom layout. This button is a shortcut to the Window > Trace Layout menu.

Tile Visible automatically creates a custom trace layout based on all currently open traces. Screen space is allocated as evenly as possible, and traces that are hidden (tabbed) are promoted to have their own space.

Block Diagram

(Main VSA toolbar only) Click to toggle the visibility of the Block Diagram. This button is a shortcut to the Window > Block Diagram menu selection.

Any trace data, trace format, scale, or marker selections made apply only to the active trace. When a trace is saved or copied, only the active trace is saved or copied.
