RA RNTI Range (LTE)

Default: Max = 0
Min = 0

Range: 0 to 60 (0x003C)

RA RNTI Range specifies the range of RNTI Radio Network Temporary Identifier values that are assumed to be RA 1) Random Access, or 2) Receiver Address RNTIs when decoding PDCCH Physical Downlink Control Channel transmissions. This parameter is needed to unambiguously decode the contents of DCI Downlink Control Information Format 1A.

Zero is not a valid RA RNTI value but is used to indicate that there are no RA RNTI contained in the LTE Long Term Evolution signal when both the Min and Max values are set to 0.

Any PDCCH whose CRC Cyclic Redundancy Check is scrambled with an RNTI that is not contained in either the RA-RNTI or TPC Transmit Power Control-RNTI ranges and cannot be determined to be a SI Status Indicator-RNTI or P-RNTI will be demodulated as a C-RNTI PDCCH.
