Advanced Equalizer Config (5G NR/5G-Advanced)

Advanced Equalizer Config contains advanced settings relating to channel estimation and equalization.

Independent SSB/BWP Measurement - When enabled (checked), the timing/frequency/clock error estimations and compensation are independent for SSBs and BWPs. In addition, each SSB transmission is assumed to have an independent symbol CPE (Common Phase Error). The amp/phase/timing tracking and EQ are applied to each SSB transmission separately. Enable it for a single-channel analysis of a MIMO Multiple Input, Multiple Output: A physical layer (PHY) configuration in which both transmitter and receiver use multiple antennas. signal (SSB beam sweeping). For a SISO case, it should be disabled to get a better parameter estimation resulting in better performance.

Default: Disabled (cleared)

Phase Contiguous Across Slots - When enabled (checked), the phase tracking algorithm assumes that the LO phase is contiguous across the slots on this carrier. When disabled (cleared), the phase tracking algorithm assumes that the LO phase is discontiguous across the slots. This value affects the phase tracking algorithm.

Default: Enabled (checked)

Per Slot Channel Frequency Response - When enabled (checked), the MIMO Eq Ch Freq Resp and Eq Chan Freq Resp trace results are presented per-slot in an overlaid fashion. When disabled (cleared), all slots are combined as a single channel frequency response result.

Default: Disabled (cleared)

Tracking And Channel Estimation Strategy (PDSCH Physical Downlink Shared Channel and PUSCH only) - Controls the tracking and channel estimation across PDSCH and PUSCH physical channels. Use this parameter to improve the TAE/PAE performance when estimation results are not stable.

This parameter does not affect any channels other than PDSCH for DL Down Link (forward link: from base station to cell phone) and PUSCH for UL Up Link (reverse link: from cell phone to base station). Tracking and channel estimation for the other channels (PDCCH, CSI channel state information-RS, SRS, PUCCH, etc.) are individual.

Individual - The tracking and channel estimation is independent for each physical channel.

All - All physical channels on the carrier are combined together for the tracking and channel estimation.

Per RNTI - Physical channels with the same RNTI on the carrier are combined together for the tracking and channel estimation.

Default: Individual
