Compensate Symbol Clock Offset - Removes the EVM Error vector magnitude (EVM): A quality metric in digital communication systems. See the EVM metric in the Error Summary Table topic in each demodulator for more information on how EVM is calculated for that modulation format. effect of the reported Symbol Clock Error. This is useful when the device under test cannot share a reference clock with the analyzer system, and the offset between the two clocks would otherwise mask the true signal quality.
In cases where the Symbol Clock Error is known to be zero (frequency references locked) or where the Symbol Clock Error estimate has high variance, unchecking this property may provide more repeatable and reliable measurement results.
