Rate Match Patterns (5G NR/5G-Advanced)
PDSCH Physical Downlink Shared Channel Rate Match Patterns dialog which allows you to configure up to eight rate match patterns for each PDSCH.
opens theAdd Rate Match - Adds a rate match pattern.
Remove Rate Match - Removes the selected rate match pattern.
Clear All - Removes all but the original rate match pattern.
Parameters
Rate Match - Selects a rate match pattern for editing. There is a single rate match pattern (0) by default. Use this parameter along with Add Rate Match, Remove Rate Match and Clear All to manage multiple rate match patterns.
Default: 0
Enabled - Enables or disables the selected Rate Match.
ID - Sets a numerical identifier for the selected Rate Match. ID is automatically assigned when a new Rate Match is added as the lowest available ID value in the 0-7 range of possible IDs.
Default: 0
Range: 0 - 7
Level - Selects whether the rate match pattern is defined on the BWP level or the cell level.
Default: BWP Level
Choices: BWP Level, Cell Level
Subcarrier spacing - Sets the subcarrier spacing for this resource pattern. When Level is set to BWP Level, the subcarrier spacing is always set to the SCS of the associated BWP (default = 30 kHz kiloHertz: A radio frequency measurement (one kilohertz = one thousand cycles per second).). When Level is set to Cell Level, the subcarrier spacing is selectable as 15kHz, 30kHz or 60kHz (FR1), and 60kHz or 120kHz (FR2). See TS Technical Specification 38.331 V16.1.0 for more information.
Default: 30kHz
Range (FR1): 15kHz, 30kHz, 60kHz
Range (FR2): 60kHz, 120kHz
RB Bitmap Index - Defines the RBs to which the rate match is applied. If an RB's index is included in the RB Bitmap Index field, the rate match is applied to that resource block. See TS 38.331 V16.1.0 for more information. RBs are entered as an array of resource block indexes.
Example:
RB Bitmap Index = 0, 3, 120:272
Default: 0:272
Symbol Bitmap Span - Selects whether to set the size of the symbol bitmap to span the length of a single slot (14 bits) or two slots (28 bits).
Default: One Slot
Choices: One Slot, Two Slot
Symbol Bitmap - Sets the symbol-level bitmap in time domain. The length of the symbol bitmap is either 14 bits or 28 bits and is determined by Symbol Bitmap Span. A bit set to true indicates a rate match around the corresponding symbol. The symbol bitmap's recurrence is determined by the Periodicity and Periodicity Pattern Bitmap settings. See TS 38.331 V16.1.0 for more information.
Default: 00000000000000
Periodicity - Sets the repetition pattern length (in bits) for the Periodicity Pattern Bitmap.
Default: N1
Choices: N1, N2, N4, N5, N8, N10, N20, N40
Periodicity Pattern Bitmap - Sets the recurring repetition pattern as a bitmap with a length specified by the Periodicity setting. For example, when Periodicity is set to N2, the periodicity Pattern Bitmap's length is two bits. Setting the Periodicity Pattern Bitmap to "10" would create a recurring pattern where rate matching occurs based on Symbol Bitmap, followed by a cycle of non-rate matching.
Default: 1
