About PDCCH MIMO Info Table (5G NR/5G-Advanced)

The PDCCH MIMO Multiple Input, Multiple Output: A physical layer (PHY) configuration in which both transmitter and receiver use multiple antennas. Info table and its result data currently have BETA functionality.

There are two types of traces in the Trace > Data > Demod and MIMO menus that display component carrier data: CCn (component carrier is fixed), and Selected Display CC (component carrier is dynamically selected using the Display parameter). See About Per-Carrier Trace Types for more information.

The PDCCH MIMO Info table shows a MIMO measurement's reference PDCCH EVM Error vector magnitude (EVM): A quality metric in digital communication systems. See the EVM metric in the Error Summary Table topic in each demodulator for more information on how EVM is calculated for that modulation format., power, and time, frequency and phase offset for each antenna port.

MIMO Info is a type of Matrix Table that provides sortable rows by column, selectable column visibility, and copy/paste and export functionality to share rows of content or complete tables to applications like email, text editing or spreadsheet programs.

The color coding used in the MIMO Info table coordinates with the physical channel color coding used in the Frame Summary table.

Despread EVM represents the error present in the measured signal for an PDCCH channel for a particular input channel when code despreading is applied for a particular port.

The despreading operation isolates noise that is not correlated across subcarriers. For AWGN Additive White Gaussian Noise - Statistically random radio noise characterized by a wide frequency range with regards to a signal in a communications channel., this will lead to a -3 dB difference compared to PDCCH EVM shown in Frame Summary.

-------------------------------

Power is the per-path power at each antenna port of the MIMO measurement.

TAE (Time Alignment Error) is the detected timing offset of the physical channel for each path. The reference is the reference antenna port PDCCH signal measured on the reference measurement input channel.

Frequency Offset is the detected frequency offset of the physical channel for each path.

Frequency Offset is relative to the measurement center frequency.

Phase Offset is the detected phase offset of the physical channel for each path.

For Phase Offset, the reference is the reference antenna port PDCCH signal measured on the reference measurement input channel.

n denotes the physical channel, measurement channel, user or antenna port number.

Averaging is not applied to the PDCCH MIMO Info trace.
