About Symbol Table (5G NR/5G-Advanced)
Measurement Interval) for the selected layer.
shows the numerical values of demodulated data (the data in theThe numerical values can be shown as hexadecimal or binary digits. The default is hexadecimal and the Symbol Table Format selection (i.e. to select Binary) is under Trace > Digital Demod.
This trace has the following characteristics:
-
The Non-alloc subcarriers will have a value of zero, but they are displayed as blank.
-
All REs (resource elements) have the same number of digits, which is decided by the highest modulation order configured in the signal. For example, if 4 PDSCHs are configured in the signal (PUSCH0 = QPSK Quadrature phase shift keying, PUSCH1 = 16QAM, PUSCH2 = 64QAM, and PUSCH3 = 1024QAM), the highest modulation order is 1024QAM, so the number of digits for all REs is 10. For REs with lower modulation orders, only the last several bits have valid data, and the first several bits are 0s. The order of bits displayed follows the bit definition in 38.211 section 5.1. For example, for 64QAM, the bits displayed are in the following order:
b(6i), b(6i+1), b(6i+2), b(6i+3), b(6i+4), b(6i+5)
-
The digits are color coded to match the channel/signal colors in Frame Summary.
To view decoded channel information bits, use the Decoded Symbols Table.
