Hopping (Pulse)
Menu Path:
The Analysis tab's Hopping panel lets you enable and configure hop analysis.
The Hopping panel allows you to set the following parameters:
-
Hop Analysis -- Enables or disables hop analysis.
-
Settling Tolerance -- Sets the amount of settling (in Hz) to allow for at the hop edges.
-
Max Hop Dwell Time -- Filters hops to be analyzed by maximum dwell time. Hops with dwell times greater than the value set will not be included in the measurement.
-
Min Hop Dwell Time -- Filters hops to be analyzed by minimum dwell time. Hops with dwell times less than the value set will not be included in the measurement.
-
Analysis Region (% of dwell) -- Sets the percentage of hop dwell time to be analyzed. Analysis Region is centered on each hop. Analysis region affects the Hop Mean Freq and Hop Mean Deviation Pulse Table results.
-
Hop State Analysis -- Contains a group of parameters used to define the hop states list, which is displayed below the parameter group.
- Detection Mode: Selects the hop state analysis detection mode. The choices are Off (default) or Manual. In Manual mode, an indexed list of hop states is manually created based on the Start Frequency, Stop Frequency, Step Frequency and Tolerance parameter settings. When Off, hops are reported in the Pulse Table without the use of a generated list of indexed hop states.
- Start Frequency: Sets the start frequency for the range of hop states. This is the first step (state) in the generated list of hop states.
- Stop Frequency: Sets the stop frequency for the range of hop states. This is the last step (state) in the generated list of hop states.
- Step Frequency: Sets the increment, or step spacing, for the generated list of hop states.
- Tolerance: Sets the tolerance for states. If a pulse is within +/- Tolerance of a state, then it is detected as being in that state.
- Index: Displays the index of the hop state. This index is displayed in the Pulse Table when Detection Mode is set to Manual.
- Frequency States: Displays the frequency states that were created by the Start Frequency, Stop Frequency and Step Frequency parameters.
- Tolerance States: Displays the tolerance state as defined by the by the Tolerance parameter.
