S-CCPCH Code Channel Parameters (W-CDMA(3GPP)/HSPA)

Default: Spread Code Channel: 256 (15 ksym/s)
            Code Channel: 3 (See W-CDMA(3GPP) Standard Setups/Presets Table.)

Range:: Spread Code Length: 4 (960 ksym/s) - 512 (7.5 ksym/s)
            Code Channel: 0 to (Spread Code Length -1)

HSPA+ adds 16QAM data modulation option to the MBSFN (Multicast Broadcast Single Freq Network) S-CCPCH Common Control Physical Channel code channel. The the S-CCPCH Code Length and Code Channel parameters allow correct automatic detection of QPSK Quadrature phase shift keying or 16QAM HSPA+ MBSFN signals for the S-CCPCH code channel.

The S-CCPCH Code Length and Code Channel parameters only apply to Downlink measurements and when Enable HSPA Analysis is selected.

The Code Channel and Spread Code Length specify the location of S-CCPCH. This location is used by the VSA to perform auto-detection of the modulation format for this code channel (QPSK or 16QAM modulation format).

No visible changes will be seen, unless an MBSFN S-CCPCH channel uses 16QAM. For 16QAM signals active channel detection and 16QAM analysis will be performed, similar to current behavior for HS-PDSCH High Speed Physical Downlink Shared Channel code channels.
