In Each Slot (W-CDMA(3GPP)/HSPA)
Sub Measurement Offset: 0x256 chips
Sub Measurement Interval: 10x256 chips
Exclude transient period: Cleared
(See W-CDMA(3GPP) Standard Setups/Presets Table.)
See parameters listed below.
The set of parameters are used for HSPA Uplink slot analysis. With these parameters configure the measurement analysis region within the specified HSPA uplink slot. These capabilities include: the specifying measurement offset and interval region, the option to exclude the slot transient data from the measurement, and there are three slot presets used to auto configure the to measurement region for Full, First Half, or Second Half slot measurement analysis.
These within slot (sub-slot) measurement parameters are helpful for performing standards compliant EVM Error vector magnitude (EVM): A quality metric in digital communication systems. See the EVM metric in the Error Summary Table topic in each demodulator for more information on how EVM is calculated for that modulation format. and Phase Discontinuity measurements required for the HSUPA High Speed Uplink Packet Access control and feedback "HS-DPCCH Dedicated Physical Control Channel (uplink) for HS-DSCH" channel.
Slot measurement data analysis region parameters:
- (0x256 chips): Specifies the number of within the measured slot in time as an integer number of 256 chips. determines the start position of the sub-measurement Interval with respect to start of the measurement slot. One time slot is equal to 2560 chips and is equal to 666.7 µs at the default chip rate.
- (10x256 chips): Specifies the time length of data within the measurement slot that is used for computing and displaying the trace data results. is specified as an integer number of 256 chips. One time Slot is equal to 2560 chips and is equal to 666.7 µs at the default chip rate.
- : If cleared, the measurement analysis data includes all data within the measurement slot. If selected, the first and last 96 chips of the measurement slot are not included in the measurement analysis data.
Slot Measurement Presets
- : Auto-configures the VSA to include all data within the measurement slot to be included in the data analysis region.
- : Auto-configures the VSA to include only data within the first half of the measurement slot to be included in the data analysis region.
- : Auto-configures the VSA to include only data within the second half of the measurement slot to be included in the data analysis region.
