Inst Err Vect Spec (802.11b/g DSSS/CCK/PBCC)

Menu Path: Trace > Data > Channel X > Inst Err Vect Spec where X is the selected input channel.

When Digital Demodulation is enabled, the Inst Err Vect Spec trace shows the instantaneous spectrum of the Error Vector Time trace. This is the non-averaged Error Vector Spectrum trace data.

The VSA's digital demodulator removes carrier-frequency error. Therefore, in the Error Vector Spect display, add the carrier-frequency error to marker readouts to obtain exact frequency information. The carrier-frequency error (Freq Err) is shown in the symbol table.

The center frequency and span for Error Vector Spect is identical to IQ measured spectrum. For details, see IQ Meas Time.
