Number of Spatial Streams
When is selected, the VSA uses the number of HT high throughput-LTF Long Training field/VHT very high throughput (VHT) physical (PHY) layer protocol data unit (PPDU):A PPDU transmitted using the TXVECTOR FORMAT parameter equal to VHT.-LTF symbols in the preamble to automatically determine the number of spatial streams. This works in most cases but will fail on some signals which use non-square MIMO Multiple Input, Multiple Output: A physical layer (PHY) configuration in which both transmitter and receiver use multiple antennas. (more transmit antennas than spatial streams).
When the input signal has correct SIG symbols, you can use the From SIG Symbols setting to automatically handle all 802.11n/ac/ax/be signals, regardless of the number of HT-LTF/VHT-LTF symbols.
