Result Length (802.11n/ac/ax/be)
The result length specifies the number of OFDM Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing: OFDM employs multiple overlapping radio frequency carriers, each operating at a carefully chosen frequency that is Orthogonal to the others, to produce a transmission scheme that supports higher bit rates due to parallel channel operation. OFDM is an alternative tranmission scheme to DSSS and FHSS. symbols that are demodulated and available for analysis and is specified starting at the first data symbol in the burst. Preamble symbols (including SIG symbols) are not included in the result length.
-
Automatic (Default): The VSA automatically determines the measurement result length. It compares the number of symbol-times detected within the burst to the Maximum Result Length parameter and uses the smaller value as the measurement result length.
-
From SIG Symbols: When is selected, the VSA uses information detected within HT-SIG High-Throughput SIGNAL field (802.11n) or VHT very high throughput (VHT) physical (PHY) layer protocol data unit (PPDU):A PPDU transmitted using the TXVECTOR FORMAT parameter equal to VHT.-SIG (802.11ac) field of the preamble to determine the result length.
-
Manual: The VSA uses the value entered in the text box as the measurement result length and ignores the number of symbol-times detected within the burst.
