Overall EVM (Error Vector Magnitude) (1xEV-DO)

Overall EVM Error vector magnitude (EVM): A quality metric in digital communication systems. See the EVM metric in the Error Summary Table topic in each demodulator for more information on how EVM is calculated for that modulation format. (Error Vector Magnitude) is the vector magnitude difference between the I/Q measured signal and the I/Q reference signal for the specified Overall 1 or Overall 2 measurement data (forward direction only).

Overall EVM is the similar to digital demodulation EVM. See Digital Demodulation Error-Vector Magnitude (EVM) for further information about this trace data.

Preamble Channel Data

You can select to not include the Preamble data in the Overall trace data results with thePreamble - Include in overall results demodulation property (MeasSetup > 1xEV-DO Demod Properties > Advanced tab).

Overall 1 data results apply to the Overall 1 measurement data and Overall 2 data results apply to the Overall 2 measurement data.
