Key Benefits

The Signal Optimizer:

Available Licenses

The Keysight Signal Optimizer offers several licenses that add signal generation and analysis capability to the basic K3101A calibration license. See Licensing for information on available license types, redeeming purchased licenses, and installing software licenses in your controlling PC.

Signal Studio licenses are not needed to generate or use signals that are included with a Signal Optimizer license. However, if If you import a waveform that was created using Signal Studio (.wfm), a valid Signal Studio license must be installed on the signal generator to play back the imported waveform.

Supported Signals

The Keysight Signal Optimizer offers several signal generation/analysis capability options in addition to calibration and standard multitone generation and analysis.

Supported Hardware

The Keysight Signal Optimizer supports a variety of Keysight signal generation and analysis/measurement hardware. See the System Requirements installation topic for more information.

Guided Calibration

The Signal Optimizer's integrated Calibration Wizard steps you through calibration of receiver and transmitter test environments so you can measure your component devices with ease and confidence.

Step 1. Analyzer (Rx) System Calibration

The first step connects the comb generator with the test fixture for receiver hardware (signal analyzer shown) calibration. By running this calibration, we can establish the calibrated signal analyzer with the reference plane at the signal analyzer’s input.

Step 2. Source (Tx) System Calibration

With the calibrated signal analyzer from step 1, step 2 performs transmit hardware calibration with a signal source or generator.

The Signal Optimizer can run the source system calibration by applying the channel response, creating a reference plane at the signal source output.

Step 3. Use Calibrated Source and Analyzer System to Measure Component DUT

The calibrated transmit and receiver hardware are ready to measure true DUT performance.

The Signal Optimizer can generate and analyze 5G candidate and custom waveforms within the same software. With integrated system calibration, the Signal Optimizer is a simple, powerful and essential 5G solution.
