In order for the Keysight Signal Optimizer to perform accurate system calibrations and calibrated measurements, a properly configured PC and system hardware that meet or exceed the system requirements are needed. System hardware includes a vector signal generator, an M8190A arbitrary waveform generator (for wideband measurements), a X-Series signal analyzer or Infiniium scope, and a U9391 comb generator for analyzer hardware calibration. The hardware is selected based on the desired frequency coverage and I/Q modulation bandwidth.
