Calculate Cal Set

Requires Advanced Calibration (5xP) PLTS license.

This feature allows you to load S4P files of Differential Crosstalk TRL Cal and Single-ended TRL standard measurements and then recalculate the Cal Set. The Cal Set is then applied to the current measurement.  You might do this to replace the measurement of a standard with one that is more accurate, then recompute the Cal Set.

Here is the process:

  1. Perform or recall a coaxial PNA cal.

  2. Measure the DUT

  3. Call this dialog.

  4. Load the Differential Cross Talk TRL Cal standard measurements. These can be *.S4P files, *.CTI files, or  *.DUT files.

  5. Type a name for the new Differential Crosstalk Cal Set (a *.CAL file)

  6. Click Compute Calset and Correction.

The displayed measurement is corrected with the new cal set.

How to start Calculate Cal Set dialog

Click Calibration, then Differential Crosstalk Cal, then Calculate Cal Set

Calculate Cal Set dialog

Thru  Click    to browse to the S4P file that contains the Thru measurement.

Reflect.  Click   to browse to the S2P file that contains the Reflection measurement.

Reflect Type: Click the type of reflection standard.

LineN  Click  to browse to the S4P file that contains the Line measurements.

Start / Stop Freq (MHz)  Type the Start and Stop frequencies over which the standard is measured.

Symmetric Calkits  Check if all of the data files are measured in a symmetric (top/ bottom and left/right) fixture . Different math is used if the fixture is symmetric.

Saving Calset to:  Click    to browse to the location on the PC.

Compute Calset / Correction  Click to compute the Calset and apply to the current data file.
