PLTS License Descriptions

Currently available PLTS licenses

Where x = F, N, or U. See Software License Types below.

N19301B-1xP/1UL – Base PLTS configuration. Includes the basic User Interface and Analysis-ONLY functionality for up to 4-port data.
N19303B-1xP/1UL – Software control of equipment for calibration and measurement. Requires N19301B.
N19305B-1xP/1UL – Advanced Calibration package: Requires N19301B (for Analysis ONLY) and N19303B (for Instrument control).
N19306B-1xP/1UL - PAM4 analysis. Requires N19301B.
N19307B-1xP/1UL – Greater than 4 ports. The current limit is 32 ports. Requires N19301B (for Analysis ONLY) and N19303B (for Instrument control).

Note: A PLTS Free Trial includes N19301B, N19303B, N19305B, N19306B, and N19307B capability.

Software License Types

Where x = 1, 3, 5, 6, or 7. See Currently Available PLTS Licenses above.

Fixed or Node-Locked (N1930xB-1FP) – This is a license type that is tied to the HOSTID (MAC Address) of the PC that will run the software.
Networkable or Floating (N1930xB-1NP) – This is a license type that is tied to a server. The installation process is pointed to the server and a license is checked out that will run PLTS software.
Transportable or USB Dongle (N1930xB-1UP) – This is a license type that is tied to a USB Dongle or Key that must be present in the PC for the software to run.

How to Install the USB Dongle Driver after the initial PLTS Installation (when the driver install was not selected).

The installer is always copied onto the PC as part of the standard PLTS installation process.

To install the drivers for the dongle, execute the file located at: <PLTS Install Directory>/System/FLEXId_Dongle_Driver_Installer.exe.

Older Software License Options

N1930A – The original PLTS licenses. They were licensed in two parts. The software license was the N1930A and the SUS was the N1930U.
N1930A-010 – This was the way to order a fully functional (4 port only) node-license with both analysis and measurement.
N1930A-020 – This was the way to order a fully functional (4 port only) floating license with both analysis and measurement.
N1930A-LT1 – Identical to N1930A-010 but without RLGC extraction functionality
N1930A-LT2 – Identical to N1930A-020 but without RLGC extraction functionality

About the Software Update Service (SUS)

To receive a PLTS software update, you must have an active subscription which is typically renewed annually.

Which SUS Extension do I purchase?

If an SUS is expired, a 2 year SUS must be ordered to reactivate the Subscription.
