:FUNCtion:PARameters:DEPort:MEASsim

Command Syntax

:FUNCtionN:PARameters:DEPort:MEASsim {ON | OFF | 1 | 0}

Where N identifies one of up to 64 possible operators {1:64} that can be defined as part of a math function. The operators are numbered in the order that they were originally added to the function.

Description

For an 4-Port, 1-Source DeEmbedding operator (:FUNCtion:FOPerator), this command turns on and off the Show Measured/Simulated Graphs option. When selected (on), displayed is a Decibels (Hz) window that contains:

  • The measured signal's frequency response.
  • The simulated signal's frequency response (the signal after De-embedding transforms the measured signal).
  • The applied transfer function's frequency response.

These plots can help you verify the de-embedding definition or sometimes see errors in the transformation or problems with the transfer function. These plots can also help you determine what value to use for the bandwidth limit based on where your signal's frequency response is mostly just noise.

FFT functions plot the measured and simulated frequency responses. A Subtract function of the measured inputs makes a differential signal.

The S-Parameter/Transfer Function Viewer is used to plot the applied transfer function file's frequency responses. (See :NETWorks:TRACe General Commands.)
