Dependent Measurements
User-defined measurements can use the results of standard Infiniium measurements which, in this context, are called dependent measurements.
Dependent measurements that will be used in a user-defined measurement are identified using the <Dependent> element in the configuration XML file. See <Dependent> Element.
The dependent measurements that are available depend on the type of data being measured, as identified by the <ValidType> element in the configuration XML file. See <ValidType> Element.
When measuring waveform data, these dependent measurements are available:
- Amplitude
- Waveform Base (or Base)
- Maximum
- Minimum
- Peak-Peak (or Peak-Peak Amplitude)
- Time at Max
- Time at Min
- Waveform Top (or Top)
- Amplitude at Lower (or Ampl at Lower)
- Amplitude at Middle (or Ampl at Middle)
- Amplitude at Upper (or Ampl at Upper)
- Effecitve Bits
When measuring NRZ eye data, these dependent measurements are available:
- Eye Amplitude (or Eye Ampl)
- Bit Rate
- Crossing %
- Database Peak Hits (or Peak Hits)
- Crossing Time
- Signal to Noise Ratio (or SNR)
- Eye Fall Time
- One Level
- Eye Rise Time
- Zero Level
When measuring PAM eye data, these dependent measurements are available:
- Noise Margin (rms)
