DC Control

Default DC  menu is used to specify the output states and voltages of the DC Sources (DC Control, DC Supply1, DC supply2) for all channels

DC Control can specify the output states and voltages of the DC Sources for each channel.

How to set the Default DC

Using Hardkey/SoftTab/Softkey

Using a mouse

  1. Press Sweep > Default DC

None

Default DC settings (states and voltages) are applied to all the measurement channels and all the channels use common DC settings/voltages. To specify different states/voltages to each channel, use DC Source Control dialog box and set Ch State to “Output On” or “Output Off” and specify voltages in the dialog box.

Enable All DC Out: Enable/Disable All DC output. When this is set to “off”, all the DC Voltage settings are ignored and all the DC outputs are disabled. All the DC outputs are enabled / disabled immediately by turning on / off the Enable All DC Out. This is the same in DC Source Control . Enable All DC Out and Default DC output states are turned off after recalling the state.

VControl, VSupply1, VSupply2: Enable/Disable and specify the default DC voltage value for VControl, VSupply1, VSupply2 respectively.

Both settings are applied immediately.

How to set the DC Limit

Using Hardkey/SoftTab/Softkey

Using a mouse

  1. Press Sweep > Default DC > Limit

None

DC Limits dialog box help

State -

On: The maximum/minimum limits are applied during a DC sweep. DC source level will not exceed the limits.

Off: The maximum/minimum limits are not applied during a DC sweep.

Min/Max - Set the minimum and maximum voltages to which the specified DC Source can be set by the analyzer. When this setting is changed, the measurement is aborted, then re-start the measurement according to new setting.
