General Information About This Step

In this step you make a connection between the wireless device and the test set. Typically, you need to command the wireless device to synchronize to the test set's signal and begin transmitting back an appropriate signal. However, in some cases, it may not be necessary for the wireless device to synchronize to the test set’s signal.

You may also want to make a quick power measurement from the test set's front panel to ensure that the connection has been made. To do this, use the procedure provide in 6. Selecting and Viewing Your First Measurement.
