This topic describes the Mean Power measurement. Mean Power is a measurement in the Dedicated Physical Channel measurement suite.
The Mean Power is the average power measured in a bandwidth of at least (1+a) times the chip rate. The period of the measurement is 1 timeslot. This measurement is only intended to measure the power of the W-CDMA modulated carrier, which in theory is 100% contained in this bandwidth. The 3GPP definition of Mean Power is located in TS 34.121 section 3.1.

This result provides the integrity indicator for the Dedicated Physical Channel measurement suite. Normal indicates that the measurement suite completed successfully without error and the result is accurate. For details of other integrity indicators, see Measurement Integrity Indicator.

This result provides the overall pass/fail result for the Mean Power measurement.
SCPI commands: FETCh:WDPChannel:MPOWer[:PARTial]?, FETCh:WDPChannel:MPOWer:ALL?
This result provides the measured mean power. If the Multi-Measurement Count is on, then the intermediate count is displayed in the lower-left area of the window and the Maximum, Minimum, and Standard Deviation (Std Dev) are displayed in the Mean Power results window.
