The PXB provides two methods for configuring all PXB-internal parameters: via the user interface and with SCPI commands.

While the PXB's user interface supports a limited number of external instrument controls for user convenience, these controls are not available as PXB SCPI commands.To remotely control external instruments, directly connect to the external instrument and use the respective instrument's SCPI commands. Refer to the instrument's programming documentation for the required commands. This note does not apply to the N5102A Digital Signal Interface module. |

When you configure the PXB using SCPI commands, settings are not reflected in the user interface. Because of this, be aware that additional changes using the user interface will overwrite the SCPI settings. Similarly, if you make changes to any input or output settings in a connected instrument, these settings will not be reflected in the user interface. |
