These settings control the real-time baseband and W-CDMA functionality.

PRACH Settings Configuration Summary Table

This section defines the Settings Current and Apply Needed buttons. Only one button is available at any time. These buttons are available in all of the W-CDMA/HSPA+ Uplink's tree nodes.

This button indicates that the current real-time settings have been applied to the instrument. No action is required.

This button indicates that the instrument settings are not current and need to be updated to be applied to the instrument. Click this button to update the instrument's settings.

Begins the PRACH transmission. This button is active when the PRACH Start Trigger Source is set to Trigger in the PRACH node.

PRACH Generation Mode

Choice: Single|Multiple

Default: Single

Sets the PRACH generation type.

Single

This choice generates a single PRACH.

Multiple

This choice generates up to eight PRACHes.

2. Transmission Settings

Number of PRACH

Range: 1 to 2147483647 | Infinity

Default: 1

Sets the repetition number of PRACH (Preamble + Message part).

Infinity

This choice means the repeating number will continue while the PRACH mode is selected and the start trigger is ignored.

If the parameter set by the following command is changed while the signal is active, the :ULINk:APPLy command or Apply Needed () button must be executed for the change to occur.

Number of PRACH (Multiple PRACH Mode)

Range: 1 to 2147447836 | Infinity

Default: 1

Sets the repetition number of PRACH (80 ms Multiple PRACH configuration).

If the parameter set by the following command is changed while the signal is active, the :ULINk:APPLy command or Apply Needed () button must be executed for the change to occur.

Sets the sub-channel number for starting of the PRACH signal.

3. Trigger Settings

PRACH Start Trigger Source

Choices: Immediate|Trigger

Default: Immediate

Sets the trigger source of PRACH.

Immediate: This choice resets the waveform and immediately replays waveform from the start.

Trigger: This choice plays the waveform after receiving the PRACH start trigger.

If the parameter set by the following command is changed while the signal is active, the :ULINk:APPLy command or Apply Needed () button must be executed for the change to occur.
