The HS-SCCH (high-speed shared control channel) is a fixed rate (60 kbps, SF = 128) downlink physical channel used to carry signaling related to HS-DSCH transmission. It provides timing and coding information allowing the UE to listen to the HS-DSCH at the correct time and using the correct codes. In this software, the HS-SCCH control information corresponds to the channelization parameters you set in HS-DSCH.
Choice: On, Off
Default: On
Set the state of the selected channel to either on
or off. You can double-click the cell to change the state or use
icon at the right of the cell to make your selection.
If the status bar displays an error message, ensure that the switching
point in the Waveform Setup is set at 1.
Range: –60 dB to 0 dB
Set the power of the channel relative to the other channels in the carrier. See Power Settings for details.
The Timing Offset property is only valid for uplink timeslots. For downlink timeslots, it is read-only.
Displays the total number of allocated resource units for this channel.
Selections: PN9, PN15, 0, 1 text file
Default: PN9
Click the cell and the down-arrow
at the far right of the cell to access the data
menu.

0, 1 text file |
select this to load a user-defined 0, 1 text file as the data source. When this is selected as the data type, two new cells are added to the cell format.

In this software, the HS-SCCH control information corresponds to the channelization parameters you set in HS-DSCH. The only two parameters you need to additionally set in HS-SCCH are the UE Identity and the Transport Block Size Information.
The control information for HS-DSCH is listed below:
Set with the HS-DSCH Start Codes
Set with the HS-DSCH Start Codes and the HS-DSCH Code Offset cells
Set with HS-DSCH Timeslot Collection cells
Set with the HS-DSCH RU Modulation cell
Range: 0 to 63
Default: 45
Set the Transport Block Size Index, which Indicates the block size information of HS-DSCH
Defined with the Hybrid ARQ Process information of HS-DSCH
Redundancy and constellation version (3 bits)
Set with the Redundancy Version Parameter of HS-DSCH cell
Defined with the Hybrid ARQ Process information of HS-DSCH
A cyclic counter that is incremented each time a HS-SCCH transmission is sent to a given UE. Separate counters are maintained for each UE. The counter is used by the UE to estimate the BLER on the HS-SCCH for the purposes of closed loop power control.
Range: 0 to 65535 (16 bits)
Enter a value to identify the user equipment (UE or UEs), for which data is transmitted in the corresponding HS-DSCH TTI. The UE identity is implicitly carried on the HS-SCCH through inclusion in the CRC calculation.
The Resource Unit Setup table enables you to configure the resource unit for each channel.
