UCI - General Settings

The Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) carries the uplink control information (UCI). The data type and data choices depend on the selected PUCCH format in accordance with 3GPP TS 36.211. Two PUCCH format settings are available, one for non-SRS subframes, one for the cell specific Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) subframes.

Refer to Subframe Status.

LTE FDD Configuration Summary Table

This section defines the LTE/LTE-Advanced FDD DPCCH/DPDCH's buttons. The Restore Default Settings button is available in all of the LTE FDDn Uplink's tree nodes.

Restores all of the LTE/LTE-Advanced FDD channel's parameters to their default conditions.

Format

Choice: 1 | 1a | 1b | 2 | 2a | 2b for Normal CP

Choice: 1 | 1a | 1b | 2 for Extended CP

Default: 1

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select the PUCCH format. This value has been clipped by Cyclic Prefix.

Data Type

Choice: SR | 1-bit HARQ-ACK | 2-bit HARQ-ACK | CQI | CQI + 1-bit HARQ-ACK | CQI + 2-bit HARQ-ACK

Default: SR

The PUCCH data type is determined by the selected format as shown in the table below. When format 2 is used with an extended cyclic prefix, the PUCCH data type is selectable.

When the data type is CQI or is an element of the data type, you can select the CQI data using the Data Source Selection dialog box.

1-Bit HARQ_ACK Data

Choices: ACK | NACK

Default: ACK

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select the PUCCH 1-bit HARQ-ACK data. This field is available when the PUCCH format is set to "1a" or "2a" on the Normal setting of Cyclic Prefix. This field is also available when the PUCCH format is set to "1a" or "2" with the CQI + 1-Bit HARQ-ACK setting of DPCCH Data Type on the Extended setting of Cyclic Prefix.

2-Bit HARQ_ACK Data

Choices: ACK ACK | ACK NACK | NACK ACK | NACK NACK

Default: ACK ACK

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select the PUCCH 2-bit HARQ-ACK data. This field is available when the PUCCH format is set to "1b" or "2b" on the Normal setting of Cyclic Prefix. This field is also available when the PUCCH format is set to "1a" or "2" with the CQI + 2-bit HARQ-ACK setting of PUCCH Data Type on the Extended setting of Cyclic Prefix.

CQI Data

Choices: PN9 | PN15 | User Data

Default: PN9

Use the Data Source Selection dialog box to selects the CQI data for Format 2, 2a, or 2b.

PN9

Uses PN9 sequence as data bits

PN15

Uses PN15 sequence as data bits

User

Uses a user-defined sequence, represented by binary data.

CQI Data Length

Range: 1 to 13

Default: 4

Enter the data length of PUCCH CQI data. This is available when PUCCH CQI data type is USER.

2. SRS Subframe

Sounding reference signals (SRS) subframe can be configured for a specific cell in the base station.

Format

Choice: 1 |1a | 1b

Default: 1

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select the PUCCH format for the cell specific SRS subframe.

Data Type

Choices: SR (Scheduling Request) | 1-bit HARQ_ACK | 2- bit HARQ-ACK

Default: SR

Displays the PUCCH data type for the cell specific SRS subframe. The data type is determined by the PUCCH format selected for the Cell Specific SRS subframe.

1-Bit HARQ-ACK Data

Choices: ACK | NACK

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select the PUCCH 1-bit HARQ-ACK data for the cell specific SRS subframe. This parameter is active when the PUCCH format for Cell Specific SRS subframe is 1a.

2-Bit HARQ-ACK Data

Choices: ACK ACK | ACK NACK | NACK ACK | NACK NACK

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select the PUCCH 2-bit HARQ-ACK data for the cell specific SRS subframe. This parameter is active when the PUCCH format for Cell Specific SRS subframe is 1b.
