Overview

Simultaneous services provides the capability to simultaneously support a circuit switched (CS) AMR voice connection and packet switched (PS) data connection. When simultaneous services is active the Current Service Type becomes AMR Voice + PS Data and the Active Cell connection state becomes Connected/PDP Active.

Sim Services Setting

• Originate / End AMR Voice Call

          This setting generates or aborts the AMR voice call.

          GPIB Command: CALL:ORIGinate:AMR

                                     CALL:END:AMR

• End PS Data Connection

          This setting disconnects any PS Data connection that is in progress.

          GPIB Command:  CALL:END:PSData                   

Important things to Consider

• The test set supports simultaneous services when the GPRS Radio Access Bearer is set to one of the following configurations:
  •  
  • 64k UL / HSDPA DL PS Data RAB

  • 384k UL / 384k DL PS Data RAB

  • HSUPA UL / HSDPA DL PS Data RAB

• Compressed Mode must be disabled in order to transition from a single service to simultaneous services, or vice versa. This setting can be enabled or disabled while simultaneous services is active.

• Soft Handover State must be Off in order to transition from single service to simultaneous services. This setting can be enabled or disabled while simultaneous services is active.
