This setting determines the maximum output power allowed to use while the UE is camping to the cell. The "Maximum allowed UL TX power" information element is sent in SIB3 on the broadcast channel message by the test set.
This setting affects whether the UE can camp to the test set. To ensure that your UE will camp to the test set at low cell power levels, set the Maximum Uplink Transmit Power Level to the maximum transmit power for your UE. |
3GPP TS 25.102 6.2.1 specifies the following maximum transmit powers per power class:
Power Class |
Nominal maximum output power |
Tolerance |
1 |
+33 dBm |
+1 dB / -3 dB |
2 |
+24 dBm |
+1 dB / -3 dB |
3 |
+21 dBm |
+2 dB / -2 dB |
4 |
+27 dBm |
+1 dB / -3 dB |
GPIB Command: CALL:UPLink:TXPower:LEVel:MAXimum
Broadcast Primary CCPCH Tx Power is used in the uplink open loop power control for path loss calculation.
This parameter is sent in SIB 5 on the broadcast channel message by the test set.
GPIB Command: CALL[:CELL]:CCPChannel:PRIMary:BLEVel
The UE increases its transmission power by UpPCH Power Ramp Step for every UpPCH transmission. This parameter is sent in SIB 5 on the broadcast channel message by the test set.
GPIB Command: CALL:UPLink:UPPChannel:POWer:STEP[:LEVel]
This parameter specifies the desired UpPCH RX power at the test set's receiver in dBm and is sent in SIB 5 on the broadcast channel message by the test set.
GPIB Command: CALL:UPLink:UPPChannel:POWer:LEVel
This parameter specifies the desired PRACH RX power at the test set's receiver. The test set sends its Desired PRACH RX Power to the UE in the FPACH response to the UE's successful SYNC_UL transmission.
GPIB Command: CALL:UPLink:PRAChannel:POWer:LEVel
