GPIB Command Conventions

CALL[:CELL]:MNCode

Function

Sets/queries the Mobile Network Code (MNC) for the currently selected application.

This setting can only be changed when call status is Idle . If BCCH Update Page is set to Auto and you change this setting while your UE is camped to the test set, the test set performs a Broadcast Channel (BCCH) Update Procedure (SIB Contents) . If BCCH Update Page is set to Inhibit (the default value) and you change this setting while your UE is camped to the test set, you must force your UE to re-read the BCCH to observe the change (see BCCH Update Page for more details).

CALL[:CELL]:MNCode:LENGth

Function

Sets/queries the length of the Mobile Network Code. When set to AUTO the test set transmits the MNC using 2 digits if the MNC is less than or equal to 99. Otherwise, 3 digits are transmitted. When set to "3 Digits" the test set always transmits the MNC using 3 digits, prefixed with one or two zeros if necessary.

Function

Sets/queries the Mobile Network Code (MNC) , when using the W-CDMA application.

This setting can only be changed when call status is Idle . If BCCH Update Page is set to Auto and you change this setting while your UE is camped to the test set, the test set performs a Broadcast Channel (BCCH) Update Procedure (SIB Contents) . If BCCH Update Page is set to Inhibit (the default value) and you change this setting while your UE is camped to the test set, you must force your UE to re-read the BCCH to observe the change (see BCCH Update Page for more details).
