86108A Clock Data Recovery

When an external trigger signal is unavailable, you can use clock recovery to derive a either a recovered clock or data trigger. The recovered trigger is routed to the mainframe via the module's rear panel. Clock recovery can also perform the task of regenerating data and, as with the recovered clock, is made available at the module's front panel. This allows the module to serve as a multi-rate reference receiver as well as generating trigger signals for waveform measurements. If you select to use an external precision timebase reference, the clock data recovery is turned off.
