Measurement Results Screens
Depending on the type of test (Standard, Clamp, or Reverse Recovery, PD1550A does not support Clamp measurements) and the extractions selected (Extract Switching Characteristics, Extract Switching Locus, Enable Screenshots, etc), the Results Tab shows the measured or calculated results of the DPT test. These results include an oscilloscope capture, Gate Charge, Test Parameters, etc.
Selected Result
Shows the measured or calculated results of the DPT test. Note that you can select one or more tests from the Measurement History tab, right click, select Load Measurement(s)... to open the Results tab. Then click on the Selected Result down arrow to select one of the test results.
Selected Extractions
Provides a list of the Run Extraction(s) you have performed. You can do multiple extractions on one file; this list allows you to switch between the extractions.
Comment Field on each Results Page
Comments fields at the bottom of each Results page (Oscilloscope Capture, Gate Charge, Signal Levels and Time, etc.) are automatically saved.
Test Results Screens
The following test result screens are available after running Double-Pulse Tests (DPT). Not every screen is shown for every test; the screens displayed depend on the type of test run and the selected data extractions.
For definitions of terms, see Double-Pulse Test Terms and Definitions.
Note that you can use the mouse roller and arrow keys (on your keyboard) to zoom in on the oscilloscope waveforms.

Standard Double-Pulse Tests:
- Gate Charge ResultsDisplayed only after a Standard DPT, these are the Gate Charge Waveforms and actual measured values. For example:
QG = Total Gate Charge,
QGD
= Gate Drain Charge
QGS(PL) = Plateau Gate Charge
- IV CurvesDisplayed only after a Standard DPT, the IV Curve Waveform (IDS vs. VGS) for the device. For example:
- IV DerivationDisplayed only after a Standard DPT, these are the IV Derivation points (IDS vs. VDS) for the device. For example:
- IV Single CurvesDisplayed only after a Standard DPT, these are the IDS vs. VGS curves and measurement results for the device. For example:
- Standard Oscilloscope CaptureDisplayed only after a Standard DPT, this is the oscilloscope waveform capture for the device. For example:
- Standard ParametersDisplayed only after a Standard DPT, these are the test parameters that you set for the test and the actual measured results. For example:
First Pulse Width is the time that IDS is ramping up. This is calculated by the software based on the measurement parameters you specify.
- Signal Levels and TimesDisplayed only after a Standard DPT, this is the measured signal levels and measurement time for the test. For example:
Note: High Times and Low Times are for the respective measurement signals (Gate Control Signal, Output Voltage, or Output Current). High Times refer to the 90% and Low Times refer to the 10% levels of the signals. As part of the extraction process, the DPT analysis software determines the minimum (0%) and maximum (100%) levels of the signals. Then it looks for the times where the signals cross 10% and 90%. The 10% and 90% times are used to extract the actual switching characteristics.

- Switching CharacteristicsDisplayed only after a Standard DPT, these are the switching characteristics measured or calculated from the test. For example:
See also: Turn-On and Turn-Off Characteristics.
Note: Integration Time and Tail time are measured only for IGBT devices. For FET devices, they will show NaN (Not a Number). Total Switching Energy is the sum of Turn On Energy and Turn Off Energy.
- Switching LocusDisplayed only after a Standard DPT, this is the Switching Locus curves for the device. For example:

Clamp Double-Pulse Tests (not supported in PD1550A):
- Clamp ParametersDisplayed only after a Clamp DPT, these are the parameters you set for the Clamp Test and the actual measured values. For example:
- Clamp RdsOnDisplayed only after a Clamp DPT, these are the actual measured values. For example:
- Clamp Oscilloscope CaptureDisplayed only after a Clamp DPT, this displays the oscilloscope waveform capture for the test. For example:

Reverse Recovery Double-Pulse Tests:
- Reverse RecoveryDisplayed only after a Reverse Recovery DPT, these are the actual measured values for the test. For example:
- Reverse Recovery ParametersDisplayed only after a Reverse Recovery DPT, these are the parameters you set for the Reverse Test and the actual measured values. For example:
- Reverse Recovery Oscilloscope CaptureDisplayed only after a Reverse Recovery DPT, this displays the oscilloscope waveform capture for the test. For example:
