Selecting IEEE 802.16 OFDMA Demodulation

(option B7Y only)

To set the VSA to demodulate IEEE Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. A US-based membership organisation that includes engineers, scientists, and students in electronics and related fields. The IEEE developed the 802 series wired and wireless LAN standards. Visit the IEEE at http://www.ieee.org 802.16 OFDMA modulated signals, select the 802.16 OFDMA demodulator (MeasSetup > Measurement Type > Wireless Connectivity > 802.16 OFDMA).

After selecting the demodulator, the configuration parameters must be set up. A IEEE 802.16 OFDMA Standard Preset can be used, which automatically configures the VSA, or the parameters can be configured manually from the IEEE 802.16 OFDMA Demod Properties Dialog Box.

Additional Information

It is recommended to read the 89600 VSA Version Differences and Measurement Tips topic. These topics contains information that will help with understanding the VSA setup configuration and measurement limitations for IEEE 802.16 OFDMA signal analysis.

Example recordings

The 89600 VSA includes several example 802.16 OFDMA signals that can be used to help you learn how to use the IEEE 802.16 OFDMA. The included signals are listed in the Demo and Recorded Signals topic in the Getting Started book.
