Power Reference Tab (Adjacent Channel Power)

Power Reference Tab

Power Reference Source - Sets the overall type of power reference.

Left and Right Carriers - Reference is the left and right edge of carriers in the subblock.

Maximum Power - Reference is the carrier with the highest power.

Minimum Power - Reference is the carrier with the lowest power.

Index - Reference is power in the carrier specified by Power Reference Carrier Index.

Manual - Reference power is manually entered by Integrated Power or PSD, depending on Reference Power Calculation.

Max Power Carrier in Subblock - Reference is the carrier with the highest power in subblock.

Min Power Carrier in Subblock - Reference is the carrier with the lowest power in subblock.

Aggregated Channel Bandwidth - Reference is the total power in the subblock, including carriers and inter-carrier gaps, calculated using a rectangular filter.

Left And Right Subblocks - Reference is the total power in the left and right subblocks.

Default: Maximum Power

Choices: Left and Right Carriers, Maximum Power, Minimum Power, Index, Manual, Max Power Carrier in Subblock, Min Power Carrier in Subblock, Aggregated Channel Bandwidth, Left And Right Subblocks

Reference Power Calculation - Sets the overall type of power calculation used. The selection specifies the format of the power reference and related results.

Integrated Power - Reference is total integrated power of the reference carrier(s), and measured results are in units of dBc deciBels referenced to the carrier: A technique for expressing a power measurement in logarithmic form using the carrier power as a reference. and dBm deciBels referenced to a milliWatt: dB relative to 1 milliwatt dissipated in the nominal input impedance of the analyzer.

PSD Power Spectral Density: See power spectral density. - Reference is the mean power spectral density of the reference carrier(s), and measured results are in units of dB and dBm/Hz.

Default: Integrated Power

Choices: Integrated Power, PSD

Power Reference Carrier Index - Sets the index of the carrier used for the power reference.

Default: 0

Integrated Power - Sets the total integrated power (in dBm) used for the power reference.

This value is used when Power Reference Source is set to Manual.

Default: 0 dBm

Detector for Carriers - Sets the spectrum detector to use for carriers power measurement.

Changing this value may change the MeasSetup > Detectors... setting.

Choices may be limited by what is supported by the current input configuration.

Default: Average

Choices: Average, Peak (Max)

PSD - Sets the PSD power (in dBm/Hz) used for the power reference.

This value is used when Power Reference Source is set to Manual and Reference Power Calculation is set to PSD.

Default: 0.0 dBm/Hz

Detector for Offsets - Sets the spectrum detector to use for offsets power measurement.

Changing this value may change the MeasSetup > Detectors... setting.

Choices may be limited by what is supported by the current input configuration.

Default: Average

Choices: Average, Peak (Max)
