Use gated modulation detection (cdma2000/1xEV-DV)

Default: Cleared (See cdma2000/1xEV-DV Standard Setups/Presets Table.)

Use gated modulation detection is used to modify the measurement data used by the VSA to detect the Forward Packet Data Channel (F PDCH) modulation scheme (QPSK Quadrature phase shift keying, 8PSK, or 16QAM) for 1xEV-DV modulated signals.

Cleared:

Detects the F-PDCH modulation scheme using data from the entire Result Length.

Selected:

Detects the F-PDCH modulation scheme using only data within the Measurement Interval.

This parameter is only available when Enable 1xEV DV analysis and the Forward direction are selected.

Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) measurements

The Use gated modulation detection parameter is used to successfully detect the F-PDCH modulation scheme for Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC Adaptive Modulation and Coding) signals. When selected, the VSA uses only data defined by the Measurement Interval to detect the F-PDCH modulation scheme instead of the entire Result Length. To learn more about making AMC measurements see Making Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) measurements in Setting up a 1xEV-DV measurement.

Use gated modulation detection is required to properly detect the F PDCH modulation scheme for AMC signals.
