The AM/PM Skew data result on the trace displays the amount of timing skew between the Amplitude Modulation and Phase Modulation parts of the signal.
The demodulator synchronizes to the the AM Amplitude Modulation - CW modulation using amplitude variation in proportion to the amplitude of the modulating signal. Usually taken as DSB-LC for commercial broadcast transmissions and DSB-SC for multiplexed systems. and PM parts of the training sequence separately to calculate the AM/PM skew.
