Frame Configuration (Flex Frame)
Frame Configuration is a sub-tab of the Component Carrier Configuration parameter group, and contains parameters that apply to all allocations within the frame.
determines how the demodulator searches for the beginning of the frame. It also affects parameters such as Search Length and Result Length.
- Burst - The demodulator first does a burst search using power thresholding. When Length Auto = true, the Time tab shows Max Result Length and the frame can be up to that long, but can be shorter. When Length Auto = false, the Time tab shows Result Length and the max length of the frame is determined by Frame Length.
- Periodic - The demodulator doesn’t perform a burst search and tries to find the beginning of the frame using the sync segments. The Time tab shows Result Length and the Search Length is automatically defined as (Frame Length + Result Length + extra for settling) to ensure that the Result Length requested is available for analysis after finding the frame boundary.
Default: Burst
Choices: Burst, Periodic
sets the frame symbol rate in Hz.
Default: 1 GHz Gigahertz: A frequency measurement which equals one billion hertz.
sets the length of the frame in number of symbols.
When Frame Type is set to Burst, an Auto checkbox is available that, when selected, automatically sets the frame length based on the detected burst length.
Default: 1000 symbols
