Time Tab (Flex Frame - Basic Mode)

Menu Path: MeasSetup > Flex Frame Properties > Time tab

The (Basic Mode) Time tab sets how much data to acquire for the frame.

Result Length defines the number of symbols used to compute measurement results shown in the IQ traces, Error traces, and Time trace.

Pulse Search when checked, specifies that the demod should do a burst search to find the transmitted symbols. When unchecked, no burst search is performed and the data is assumed to be continuously transmitted symbols.  See Pulse Search (Digital Demod) for more information.

• Search Length determines how much total data to acquire in order to do pulse search. See Pulse Search (Digital Demod) for more information.

Pattern Search when checked, will cause a second allocation (Sync) to be defined in the frame. The bit pattern to search for can be entered in the Bit Pattern field.

• Bit Pattern provides a space to enter a (binary) bit pattern to search for. The bits are mapped to the symbols using the Default Bit Mappings.
• Search Offset sets the location of the sync relative to the start of the frame, in symbols.
