The FMCW Radar Measurement allows you to display tables that list reported performance metrics for each detected LFM Region within the current acquisition. See the Matrix Tables reference topic for more information.

You can select from the following table formats.

Cumulative statistics are reset whenever the measurement is restarted. They are not reset when the measurement is paused.

FMCW Statistics

Statistics are derived from the current stream of regions. Each measurement is considered a new group of data. For example, if there are four regions in a measurement, then the statistical parameters of the four regions are calculated. The maximum of the four regions is computed and listed as the maximum.

Statistics are calculated for each parameter. For example, if there are four regions , then Max will be the maximum rise time for the four regions . Similarly, Min is the minimum rise time for the four regions:

Statistics are divided into two groups:

  1. Statistics for the current regions, and
  2. Cumulative statistics gathered since the last measurement restart. Trend analysis can be enabled or disabled without resetting the measurement.

The statistics captured are:

The statistics are calculated based on the underlying units in the Region Table, so values that are expressed in dBm deciBels referenced to a milliWatt: dB relative to 1 milliwatt dissipated in the nominal input impedance of the analyzer are averaged in dBm instead of translating to Watts first.

The statistics tables also contain a Count row, which indicates the number of points included for each metric. There is no separate Count row for Median and Mode since the Count row is accurate for those metrics until the number of points in the Count row is greater than the trend buffer length, at which time the count for Mode and Median is the trend buffer length.
