ResBW Tab (MeasSetup)
The
tab contains parameters related to the resolution bandwidth.- ResBW: Changes the resolution bandwidth
- ResBW Mode: Determines whether to emulate a typical spectrum analyzer's ResBW settings or allow arbitrary ResBW settings.
- ResBW Couple: Determines how resolution bandwidth is coupled to frequency span when the span is changed.
- Window Type: Sets the windowing function used for spectral measurements
- Frequency
Points: Specifies the number of unaliased frequency points
to show on Spectrum traces.
- Auto: When selected, the VSA automatically determines the most appropriate number of frequency points based upon the specified Span, (or Main Time Length), and .
It is recommended that Auto Frequency Points mode be enabled. mode provides the most flexibility in choosing a or for a given and .
For Power Spectrum, Adjacent Channel Power and Spectral Emissions Mask measurements, the ResBW tab contains the following additional parameters for the resolution bandwidth and video bandwidth.
- Span to ResBW Ratio
- VBW
- VBW (Actual) (Time Input Domain Power Spectrum measurements only)
- VBW to ResBW Ratio
- ResBW Metric
- Max FFT Size
- Noise Correction
In case of zero span mode in Power Spectrum measurements, the Window Type parameter gets replaced with Channel Filter Shape parameter. Only the following values are available for this parameter:
- Gaussian - The Gaussian filter used is close to an ideal Gaussian shape in the frequency domain.
- None - None just uses existing anti-alias resampling filters with no additional channel filter.
