Time Offset (LTE-Advanced)

Time Offset shows the time offset from the beginning of the time capture to the beginning of the Measurement Interval.

For example, when Time Offset = 5 ms and the Search Time trace starts at -8.3 ms, the beginning of the Measurement Interval is located at -3.3 ms within the Search Time trace.

Time Offset can be used to measure the accuracy of an external frame trigger signal when

For configurations with multiple component carriers (CC), the Time Offset for each CC is calculated relative to a user-selected Reference CC and displayed as Time Alignment Error (TAE) in the Cross CC Summary trace.
