PDSCH (LTE-Advanced)

PDSCH is the Physical Downlink Shared Channel. This is the downlink data channel for users.

When RB Auto Detect is selected and RB Auto Detect Mode is set to Power Based, the demodulator groups resource blocks by modulation type and shows three groups (PDSCH_QPSK, PDSCH_QAM16, and PDSCH_QAM64) on the Frame Summary trace.

When RB Auto Detect is selected, and RB Auto Detect Mode is set to Decode PDCCH, the demodulator decodes the allocations defined in the PDCCHs and shows each PDSCH Physical Downlink Shared Channel allocation (PDSCH_User<number>) on the Frame Summary trace in increasing order of RNTI.

When RB Auto Detect is cleared, Frame Summary shows a PDSCH allocation (PDSCH_User<number>) for each user mapping defined in the LTE Allocation Editor.

For downlink signals, auto detection does not support Transmission Mode 9 beamforming.

A PDSCH allocation can contain a combination of modulation types:QPSK Quadrature phase shift keying, 16QAM, QAM64, QAM256 (only available when Enable Higher Order Modulation or Enable 1024 QAM is selected), or QAM1024 (only available when Enable 1024 QAM is selected)..
